Making old things new again

I have had the honor of being asked, on several occasions, to take old and treasured items and turn them into new useable pieces. These items will be passed on and last a lifetime in their new form. These are some of my favorite projects because I'm given the freedom to create and not just follow a plan.

Here is an example of an old pantry door with peeling and crackled paint that was brought to me to be converted to a bench for the end of the customer's bed. The framework was made from pine and the top was cleaned up and treated with a product specifically made to stop peeling and hold everything in place.
