A brief history

Woodjam Workshop actually started in 1998 when my wife, Lauri, and I made the decision that she would stay home with both of our sons until the youngest started school. Our income was instantly cut in half but we trusted that everything would work out. I had patterns for some band saw boxes that I wanted to give a try and my teaching partner's husband taught wood shop at the local high school. He invited me to come use their band saw and, after a quick lesson, I got all of the parts cut out and got everything ready to take home for assembly. Once finished, I was showing them to a friend at the school where I taught music and, before the day was over, I had requests for several. I bought a band saw, started selling boxes, and the business started to grow from there. In 2020 I retired from education and was, again, faced with making up lost income. Woodjam Workshop became Woodjam Workshop LLC and that is where we are today. We create hand-crafted products of exceptional quality at a fair price and have earned the business of customers across the U.S. and throughout the world!
